The Idea

Ever thought how nice it would be to go back to the simple pleasure of catching someone's eye across the bar?
 
This is how we both felt after finding ourselves part of the ever growing singles market. We have spent hours creating our profiles for dating sites (yawn), attended lock & key parties (anyone know a good locksmith?) and been to wine tasting evenings (hic). You name it, we've tried it!
 
The one question we kept asking ourselves was: are there any really great bars where we can meet like-minded singles? For our own benefit we did some research and soon had a pretty substantial list of stylish bars, and we found other singles were asking us for recommendations.
 
However, we have taken it one step further and created this website. Once you have become a member, you get access to our directory of bars and a calender telling you what's going on. You can also use our chat room to interact with other members and the forum to leave reviews and suggestions. Hopefully you will build a network of friends; especially good if you are a little shy or want to travel to our bars together.
 
We will inform you when one of the bars has live music or a special event. Please do not think you will arrive, be given a badge or segregated as these bars are not exclusive to our members but they are buzzy, friendly and stylish.
 
You never know that attractive guy/girl across the bar just might also be a give me a shot member!
